Dear Sir

Several of the Electors have just called on me, and it is at their particular request I now write you, to beg you will defer meeting your Friends here this Evening as proposed, as they are quite sure under present Circumstances, it will be desirable to postpone the meeting until to-morrow morning to afford an opportunity of fairly discussing the matter in the presence of the whole of your Friends – If you will have the goodness to say at what hour you will be here, I will apprize them of it

I remain Dear Sir
Your very obedt Serv

Wm Wilmot. Junr
