Dear Talbot

I read your letter on the Telegraph on my way hither to look after Lawyers & have been detained in Town till this morning when I must return [illegible] infecta in two hours as my Univty Law business is almost stationary from absence of contact; & on I have missed you whom I hoped to find here at the Athenæum <1> – Come by all means – though prepared to rough it – & possibly to be left Major Domo as I may be called back Monday or Tuesday to complete the Incomplete & as I certainly shall be pretty considerably plagued & laid hold on by all sorts of people & business both from arrearage of the last four days & from the beginning of term – But you must come again when I can more enjoy your society

Yours Ever
Thos Worsley
