Sir,

Professor Henslow handed to me the enclosed note, <1> thinking I should meet with you at the Royal Hotel. I take the liberty of enclosing it to you.

I have met with a very superior artist in Bristol who would draw the Dianthus in question in the best manner and if you would oblige Professor Henslow & myself by addressing a specimen to Mr Strong, Bookseller, Clare Street, he will pay immediate attention to it. Or, if the plant be in a pot and you would prefer sending it wholly, I will engage for its being safely returned in a few days. This would give the artist an opportunity of giving the true character of the plant, as from the small specimen I have seen I think the whole plant may be figured, which would afford the best effect

I am, Sir, Yours very respectfully
Benjamin Munro.
