My dear Henry
As Mamma <1> wrote to you yesterday, I cannot have much to communicate I suppose she told you she sent for Dr Hume, but as he was gone out of town, she tried today to get Dr Bright, who is reckoned a very clever physician – He has besides the recommendation of visiting the Hospitals, & this is a very ordinary hospital case – But he likewise was out of town – I do not know who she will think of next – At one moment Papa <2> says he should like to consult some new person, & have an entirely new opinion, & the next he will not hear of sending for any body – He had not at all a good night – & seems much the same today – If anything he looks rather better –
