Acton Green

Dear Sir

I thought I shd have found yr Hyacinth amg some of the many similar Species in my herbm but I am disappointed. Not knowing what sort of leaves the plant has, nor how far the specimen may be characteristic I do not find it possible to tell with any certainty what it is. Most likely it will prove the H. spicatus of Sibthorp, <1>

Yours truly

John Lindley

H. F. Talbot Esq
