Sir

i hope you will Excus me in not Paying the sum of mony to you Wich i Promisd you to Send butt i a shure you i have bin in great Distress for mony as i wous infortun a nough to Lose my Licence for one year wich is thron me back a greatly butt i have got my License a gain and my House is full of Lodgers and if you will be shue so good as to a Low me a fue more weaks i will be shue to Pay you the Mony to Hamersly <1> bank in Pall Mall/ the cause of my Licence being stopd wous in Conseque of a Mr HobHouse making a great Disturben out of the windo of his room and the vice chancelor thout that i could Prevent it butt that wous in Posebble for me to Du the Tuters of Trinty College wous quet sattisfied it wous not my fort butt thay Have give me my Licence again and i shall now be able to Pay Half my Dets very Soon so i hope you will be godanugh to make an Lowence for my not Pay of you before
