On the other side I send you a Copy of my Letter to Visct Melbourne <1> which will shew you the number of 10£ Houses & Houses and Land –

The Villages that could be added are Hardenhuish, Langley Burrell, Avon, Kellaways, Tytherton Kellaways, Pewsham and Notton in the Parish of Lacock –

Sir

In reply to your letter of the 24h ult. I beg to inform you that there are in the Town, Borough, and Parish of Chippenham the undermentioned Number of Houses and Houses and Land held together rated at the sum of 10£ and upwards and that the Rate is considered to be made (according to the custom in this County) on half the amount of the Real Rent – There are about 130 other Houses in the Parish rented at the sum of 10£ a year
