My Dear Henry

Having heard from very good authority that the Dissolution certainly takes place on the 3d I lose no time in letting you know that you may avail yourself of it, as instead of being auprès de vos amours <1> you ought to be bestirring yourself at Chippenham. <2> If you intend passing thro’ Town let me know, that we may prepare a bed, which is better than wasting your Substance on Hôtels & snugger too. Lord Lansdowne <3> wishes to know whether you still like to be made a Deputy Lieutenant, it was necessary he should know to day (I don’t know why) so I said yes. was that right?

Kerry <4> arrived from Paris with them on Sunday & is departed already to canvass. a hint to you.

I am quite provoked with Henry Frampton <5> he persists in it that the objection is no objection. He must be demented himself.

aff yrs
E.F
