SOCIETY OF BIBLICAL ARCHÆOLOGY

31st Octr Novr1873
My Dear Sir
Will you send me as soon as possible the detailed exegesis, and the corrected passages of the “Ishtar” <1> for the Transactions of the S.B.A. the more complete the notes are the better we can give you twenty pages if required and then close part II of Vol II.
The issue of the Transactions will for the future be 750 but there is no wish to encroach on your liberality in paying for more than your former number. Unless you really prefer it, of course with 220 Members the Transactions are not yet self supporting
I bought your “Hermes” <2> for the Society the other day–
I remain My Dear Sir Yrs truly
W.R. Cooper
