I must let you know of the naissance d’une belle orchis <1> pseudosambucina purpurea which with the alba are going to have their portraits drawn two ophryss [sic] will be out in a few days – Tulipa præcox is brilliant in the window – petalis linea rotatis. with C. hederæf. <2> with 5 buds slowly expanding –
