My dear Henry
I wish you had left me the Key of the museum, because this morning there was such an extraordinary heat in the Stone Gallery from the Stove that I should have been glad to examine the top of the Bouche de Chaleur <1>, had it encreased [sic] I think I must have had the door broke [sic] open I began to be so alarmed.
I do not think the little corne[red]<2> Corbled Window is too small as she has drawn it, it will be very picturesque –
