31 Sackville St <1>
1 Decr 1841

Sir

I requested my friend Mr Moore <2> when he was in Town to call upon you & enquire whether you would like to publish a work on the scenery of Italy Germany &c. illustrated with photographic plates, or those which I have called Calotypes. But Mr Moore had left Town before my letter reached him, which I regret, as I have not the pleasure of being personally acquainted with you. Such a work as I allude to would be an entire novelty & therefore I think it might meet with considerable success – I have specimens of the art in Town which I should be happy to show you – I am, Sir

Your very obedt Servt
H. Fox Talbot.

J. Murray Esq. –
Albemarle St

private.
