I sent to Mr Willats 98 Cheapside & purchased a packet of the Iodised paper wh was stated by the party selling it to be yr invention that it was a preparation of Nitrate of Silver & or things to be rubbed over the paper – Mr Willatts [sic] also states that he shd have a little pamphlet ready on Saturday price 6d certainly clear dirons here to another Article &c

The buss of Mr Palmer is still going on as usual apparently – <1>

1. Thomas Willats had formerly worked for the optician Edward Palmer of Newgate Street. This enquiry was triggered by a protest from Lady Elisabeth: see Doc. No: 05069. Willats conceded the infringement and apologised: see Doc. No: 05439.
