My dear Sir

I have stupidly enclosed in the parcel itself the note <1> intended to inform you that that same parcel goes tonight by the “Erin” P & O steamer to Southampton. I have addressed it to you, under cover to “Thomas Nile Esq the P. & O. Agent” <2> there – requesting him to forward it to you, & to clear it, if necessary, from Custom House troubles. – It contains 73 Negatives – & sundry troublesome queries from, My dear Sir,

Your obliged & faithful Servant
G W Bridges

Perhaps you will take the trouble of making the necessary enquiries, if it do not reach you forthwith –

H. Fox Talbot Esqre
Lacock Abbey
Chippenham
Wilts
England
via Southampton

Notes:

1. See Doc. No: 05750.

2. The Secretary or Agent for the Oriental steamer to Southampton.
