Dr Sir

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your notes of the 14 & 16h <1> inst.

You will receive in the course of tomorrow, the information which you require respecting the height <illegible deletion> of the bridges –

I regret that the Contractor should have trespassed on your fields and must admit that the company should Compensate you for any damage caused thusly – the better way to settle it will be that you should appoint some person to meet the Contractor who in this case will act for the Company –

I thank you for having reminded me of the watering and shall be happy to attend to Mr Little’s <2> suggestions if I may consider them as authorised by you – May I beg that you will prevent the possibility of there being any further misapprehension on this point

I remain your obedt St
