Sir
I beg leave to express my disappointment & regret that owing to my temporary absence from the House on Thursday last, I lost my turn when called upon by the Speaker to bring forward my Motion for an Enquiry into the Causes of the Distress of the Industrious Classes; & I take the liberty of informing you that as my Motion now Stands for Thursday next the 21st Inst I shall certainly introduce it to the House on that day.
My believing you to be favourable to some enquiry of this nature, will, I trust be my excuse for troubling you with this letter.
I have the honour to be Sir, Your faithful hble Servt
