Admiralty <1> Janry 2 1847
My dear Talbot
I was at Bowood last week and miss’d you from Lacock – I should have been really glad to see you, and to thank you for your kindness in sending to me your English Etymologies – I am greatly obliged to you for having it, first because you have given me a mark of friendly recollection, and secondly, for the value of the book which I find both amusing and instructive.
