Dear Sir,
Have you any objection to my Brother having a few days Partridge Shooting at Lacock? Your Tenants would be glad to see him on their Farms as it would have the effect of keeping off Poachers and Trespassers – Fry spoke to me on the subject a few days ago and I promised to write to you before the 1st Septr.
I remain dear Sir your obliged Servt
West Awdry.
