Dear Sir,

I have received from the Railway C^o an Order on Mess^rs Coutts to transfer to your Sole Account £4500 now standing in the joint names of yourself and Cap^t O’Brien, and a Cheque for £505: 14: 3 the balance of the purchase money and Interest from the 17^th of Sept^r last 1846 to the 3^d Inst. In case I sho^d not be able to call on you tomorrow morning which I fear may be the case will you be good enough to say whether I shall remit the Order for the £4500. to Mess^rs Coutts – the Cheque for £505. 14. 3 I presume you will wish me to retain.

I annex a statem^t shewing how the Account is made up, and remain
