Dear Sir,
I have paid £700 to your Account at the Melksham Bank.
The whole of the Duty on Bricks has been repealed, but the Manufacturer was entitled to a certain drawback for waste &c so that the Public do not get the whole, economical, benefit – the difference is about 5/10 pr thousand on ye small Bricks and 10s/ּ on the large ones. the Duty was 6/1½ & 10/6 pr thousand.
