Chippenham
23 Feb: 1852
Dear Sir,
I will attend to your wishes about Hayward <1>: I have paid £300· to Mrs Talbots <2> Account at the Melksham Bank. The change in the political word must indeed be a relief (temporary at all Events) to our members – but has Lord Derby <3> any chance of being able to form a Government, and keep it together, more than he had last year?
Yours obliged
West Awdry
