Dear Sir,
John Gale <1> has made an Estimate of the Cost of enclosing the proposed new Burial Ground at Lacock and of erecting a Mortuary Chapel, which appears to the Parishioners to be very desirable, if not actually necessary, I have thought you would like to see the Plan of the Chapel before it is submitted to the Vestry, and therefore send it with Gales Note – as it is proposed to hold a meeting on the subject next Saturday perhaps you will be kind enough to return them to me by that time, unless you should be coming to the Abbey previously, with any observations which you may wish to have made on them.
I am Dear Sir Your obliged Servt
West Awdry.
