Dear Sir,
With Joseph Crokers Note which I expect to receive this Week I can pay £200 to Mrs Talbots <1> Account – Unless I hear from you to the contrary I will make this payment at the Melksham Bank as usual, on Friday next, The Banks at Devizes are Locke & Co – & Branches of the North Wilts (Melksham) Bank & Wilts & Dorset Bank – I too was struck with the want of Melody in the New Chapel Bell, at least they should shorten the time of tolling it – I will speak about it the next time I am at Lacock. I think the Planting very nicely done – I hope this severe Weather will not affect it prejudicially–
I remain Dear Sir Your Obliged Sevt
West Awdry
H. F. Talbot Esq
Lacock
