Chippenham
4 May 1855
Dear Sir,
I have paid £750 – to Mrs Talbots <1> Account at the Melksham Bank and remitted Messrs Price & Co £48 ּ s14 / ּ for the Revd. J. A. Williams <2> –
On finding the old Lease in the Tower I took possession of the piece of Land in question, and have hitherto heard of no opposition to your Claim. I shall be happy to forward your views in Endeavoring to procure a better Bell for your new Chapel – I have written to the Builder of a little new Church lately erected in this Neighbourhood, to know the Cost of the Bell there, and where it was procured – I will let you know the result as soon as I get an Answer. I should think if you were to Commence a Subscription there wod be no difficulty in raising a sum sufficient for the purpose of replacing the present Bell by a better one
I remain Dear SirYours obliged
