Chippenham <1>
25 Feb. 1858
Dear Sir,
I enclose a Letter from Barnes and the little map I mentioned to you – I also took the Parish map to the Abbey on Tuesday for your inspection – I will call again with it tomorrow or Monday. I have received a Letter from Mr Nicholson <2> asking for Copies of the old Deeds which we laid aside on the first day of our Search – I expect a Writ tomorrow morning for the Election of a member for North Wilts in the room of Mr Sotheron Estcourt <3> who is to take office as President of the Poor Law Board – I must go to Devizes to make arrangements of the Election in the morning (tomorrow) but if I am not detained too long there I will call at the Abbey on my way home otherwise on Monday unless I hear from you to the contrary.
I am Dear Sir Your obliged St
West Awdry
