Chippenham <1>
2 July 1859
Dear Sir,
I have paid £300 to the London Agents (Smith & Co) of the Bank of Scotland for your Account – I will send you a Devizes Paper containing a Report of the Case “Sarl & Co v the G. W. Iron Co” to which I referred in my last – Altho’ the Sheriff was in that Case dismissed with his Costs I was yesterday again obliged to make a levy on behalf of another Credr so that I suppose there will be another injunction granted if you like to send on the Devizes paper to Mr Bolton <2> pray do so – From all I hear a good deal of the mischief arises from the mismagt of Mr Coombes the Secy and his friend Mr <Humby?>. – the former promises “to write a book about it”, but the latter is “non est <?>” I will give you any further information I may be able to obtain.
Yours truly & obliged
West Awdry
