Chippenham
20 June 1860
Dear Sir,
I am not aware of any thing requiring your personal attention before you leave home, but I hope to do myself the pleasure of calling on you tomorrow – I would have done so yesterday or to-day had I not been suffering from a very bad cold – I hear that poor old Blackham is dead – He has been long failing but thro’ your & Mrs Talbots <1> kindness he has wanted nothing to alleviate his sufferings as far as they could be alleviated –
Believe me Your obliged Sert
West Awdry.
