Dear Sir,

I have remitted £60• to the Melksham Bank and £75• to Messrs Mortlock & Co for your Son – at Cambridge.

I understand that Mr Boodé applied on behalf of a friend, Mr Torrens a rich married Man without family – and I was asked by another friend who knows him whether I thought he might be allowed at some convenient time to see the Abbey – If you wished it I would accompany him some day when it would be convenient to you. but after your last note I rather discouraged the idea.
