Dear Sir,

I remitted £200 to Messrs Coutts <2> on the 6th inst agreeably with your Request – Mr Gladstone <3> and Mr Caldwell <4> are both from home so I have been unable to obtain replies from them on the other points referred to in your letter – I anticipate no difficulty in making satisfactory arrangements in both cases and I will bear in mind what you say about the strip of Land belonging to Mr Starky <5> adjoining your property at Nethermore –

I am dear Sir Yours obliged
