Dear Sir,

I sent M^r Coombs an Abstract of the Conveyance from M^r Troughear to M^r Aitkinson, but not of the Conveyance to M^r Troughear in consequence of it’s <sic> reciting other documents and facts which it might be difficult for us to prove. M^r Coombs has written asking for an earlier Title, this I have declined giving and have begged a definitive answer by return of post – As soon as I receive it I will do myself the pleasure of waiting upon you –

I had written to M^r Coombs before I received the message you sent by my father.
