Dear Sir,
I have remitted £400· thro’ Coutts & Co <1> for your account with the Bank of Scotland – £300 to your own account with Coutts’ – £115· to Mortlock & Co for your Son at Cambridge and paid Mrs Banks £15 – 11 – for the Dinner last Feby.
My brother desires me to thank you for your permission to shoot at In-Wood – There is some timber at Wick Farm which might be cut with advantage, as well as on other parts of the Manor, May I take the necessary steps to get it marked and cut?
Yours obliged
West Awdry.
H. F. Talbot Esq.There is nothing doing at Seend at present with reference to the iron business, nor do I hear of any immediate probability of it but I am glad to see that the trade appears to be reviving in the North of England.
