Dear Sir,

I have remitted to Messrs Coutts & Co <1> £50Ì to be placed to your Account. I have also paid £420Ì to the Govr of [Queen’s Anne?] Bounty for the purchase of the old Vicarage – for which I will ask you for a Security upon Your return to the Abbey.
