Chippenham <1>

4 May 1865

Dear Sir,

I know of no other method of meeting Mr Nicholls <2> difficulty than providing him the Sum you have (£250) when it is required, which I will undertake to do, on your joint note, repayable if you prefer it by easy instalments say £50 pr Ann: This will be certainly the least expensive and simplest plan, and I hope the Vicar would not feel the diminution of his income very much.
