Dear Sir,
I do not think I have anything of consequence to communicate previous to your going abroad Farmer <Cave?> has not settled up his rent but he promises to do so shortly. I am afraid his home is not very comfortable – I am curious to know the particulars of the proposed Reform Bill but I do not think it will come to much judging from the general indifference on the subject, and the Leader in the Times of to-day. Be good Enough to say how I shall make your remittances next month – or Earlier if you wish it.
I remain,
Yours obliged
West Awdry
