Chippenham <1>
30 Dec. 1868
Dear Sir,
I enclose a Letter <2> which I have received from Mr H. G. Awdry <3> as Church Warden for Lacock & which, as I find you are not at the Abbey I think I had better forward for your perusal. I don’t know whether you intend returning to Lacock, before going to Italy, as I think you told me was your intention when I last had the pleasure of seeing you I called at the Vicarage to see Mr Nicholl <4> but found him from home for a day or two – I hope you receive good Accounts of Mrs Talbot <5> and your family with her, and found Mrs Clarke and all her belongings well –
Believe me Yrs faithfully & obliged
West Awdry
