Dear Sir,

The Drawing Room & Dining Room Grates are specially mentd in the “particulars of Expenditure on Lacock Vicarage” sent by Mr Nicholls <1> but I do not find any mention of the Hall Stove – I have written to him on the subject and told him I considered all fixtures were to be included in the £1500 – I will direct that nothing shall be removed till I hear from him in reply – I will ride over to the Vicarage tomorrow Morning before the Sale. but I have an Engagement at home at 12 o’Clock which will prevent my seeing you afterwards

I remain
Yours obliged

West Awdry

H.F. Talbot Esq.

Notes:

1. Rev Edward Powell Nicholl (1831–1902), Vicar of Lacock from 1864 until his resignation in 1870; photographer.
