Saturday 29 Feby – 1840
Dear Sir,
Jones of the White Hart, Salisbury has written to me to enquire how many beds you will require and the number of Stalls for Horses – I have informed him that you will require accommodation for yourself, Chaplain, myself & Clerk and Stalls for four or five Horses – if you wish beds secured for any friends perhaps you will be good enough to let me know –
I enclose a Letter received this morning from the Manager of the Theatre at Salisbury – and I presume you have heard from the Dean <1> –
I shall feel obliged by your saying whether you will wish to see me before Tuesday –
I remain Dear Sir
Your Obliged Servant
West Awdry.
Notes:
1. That is Hugh Nicolas Pearson (1767–1856), Dean of Salisbury from 1823 to 1846. [See Doc. No: 04042].
