I enclose the Counterpart Agreemt respecting the Avon Fishery signed by Captn Rooke <2> and I annex a Copy of his Letter to me accompanying it –

Dear Sir,
I enclose you my part of the Agreement as to the Fishery – As to Blackham and Humphries’ conduct to my Keeper I of course shall say no more than that I hope you will tell them, Mr Talbot did not approve of their conduct in that transaction – if they are not acquainted with it they will most likely think and say, Mr Talbot approved of it by the Summons being dismissed – I felt quite sure Mr Talbot would not approve of such an unprovoked Attack – With Compts
