Dear Sir,
I have arranged with Messrs Sartain as to the Land at the Abbey by returning them half the Sum they paid, deducting 2/6 for the Locks wch their Man destroyed. They expressed clear regret at the conduct of their Servant whom they have discharged in consequence – they assured me that he had directions to apply to your Servant for the Key.
I have remitted Messrs Stillwell <2> for Lady Elizth Feilding <3> £300 & to Messrs Hughes & Co <4> £300 – on your own Account
