Dear Sir,
I was sorry to hear from Mr Sotheron <2> yesterday that you had been detained in Town by illness – I hope that you are by this time recovered. it has occurred to me that you may be glad while in Town to receive in person your Dividend under Hammersley’s <3> Estate I have therefore sent to my Agents Messrs Barrow & Cullen of 19 Essex Stt, Strand a Note in your Hand writing to enable them to identify you at the Accountant Genl’s Office in case you should find it necessary to enable use of them
I presume you received a Note from me last Week as to the payment of your Rents received at the last Audit.
