Chippenham <1>
10 Augt 1842
Dear Sir,
I have sent the Advertts for insertion in the Times & Chronicle, <2> desiring them to be inserted at intervals of three days, and so as to have them in the two Papers on different days – I should recommend their insertion in the Bath & Bristol Papers also and unless I hear from you to the contrary will get it done the latter end of the Week –
I will write to Mr Collen <3> to know what he is indebted to you, and will then afterwards propose a time for examining his Accounts as you suggest.
We have received Notices to make our returns for the Property & Income Tax at Chippenham but I do not think they have been delivered in the neighbouring Villages yet – There is no hurry about making the return but I will bear in mind to furnish you with memda for yours as regards your Lacock Property.
I remain Dear Sir
Your obliged Servant
West Awdry
