Dear Sir,
John Humphrys <2> has called on me today about planting the Land at Nethermore <3> which was grubbed last year – there are about 5½ acres which will take about 17 or 18,000 Trees – I have obtained Heale’s terms which I annex – I think no time should be lost if you decide on planting this Season perhaps you will be good enough to let me hear from you by Tuesday next.

Spruce – 2 to 3 feet high at 10/<s?> / pr 100
Scotch 2 to 3 feet high at 5/- pr 100
The proportions will be of
