Chippenham <1>
26h June 1832
Dear Sir/
In case you have taken your Election Papers to Town – I think you may like to fill them up with the Answers of the three Persons mentioned in your last Letter –
Farmer Butcher, has no objection to vote for you, provided his Landlord (Dr Harkes) approves it – I therefore hope you may reckon upon his vote –
The Man near the 2 Mile House on the Calne <2> Road, Collar (not Cole) will consider of it, but declines to promise so early –
The Man now renting the George Inn at Sandy Lane – did not absolutely promise, but his Answer leaves very little doubt that he will vote for you –
I was at Lacock yesterday – the Hay was nearly finished & some of the best that I have seen for a long time – this is a great satisfaction to me, as there will now be a large stock of good old Hay & the Field may be fed entirely the next year wch will be profitable in every way –
I am Dear Sir
Yr obliged Servt
