Dear Sir,

M^r Green Jun^r brought me the annexed Letter to day, having previously called on Capt. Feilding ^<2>, who thought I had better communicate it to you. He wishes to be informed, whether, in the event of his being able to let his Father’s House at Beanacre, you would allow him the Tenant to shoot over your Estates, for a pecuniary consideration – He thinks the Gentleman might be induced to give £15 – or £20 P^r annum for the permission

My own opinion is that the Sum is not sufficient for such a permission (supposing you should be inclined to give it) for without knowing the character of the Person, I foresee many inconveniences which may arise from disputes with the Tenants & other circumstances – I have promised to communicate your reply, to him –

When you write, I will beg the favor of your mentioning how I shall pay the [illegible deletion] money w^ch I may receive at the ensuing Audit –
