Dear Sir/
I have examined your Books, with reference to your first payment made to the Sheriff’s Fund & find that the Account sent by Mr Salmon, is correct – A Subscriber to this Fund, receives One Hundred Guineas, in the event of his being appointed Sheriff – when you write next, have the goodness to inform me whether I may pay this Account to Mr Salmon –
