Chippenham <1>

19th June 1838

Dear Sir,

I have spoken to young John Humphries <2> – to day – on the subject of your Letter recd this morning – & he assures me, that he has no fear of being able to take charge of the Garden, for the time you mention – Altho’ you did not desire me to write, I thought it possible you might expect to hear before you return, as I did not learn at the Abbey when you meant to be at home –

I am Dear Sir
Yr Obliged Sert
