Chippenham <1>
Tuesday Morng
Dear Sir,
I have been rather unwell since I was last at Lacock, from the effects of a heavy Cold & I am afraid of venturing in an open Carriage to day. I have sent one of my Sons, to see if anything is particularly wanting, but do not expect it, as the hard Frost prevented much work being done out of doors, last Week.
I enquired of West <2>, respecting the Sum wch was proposed for the Insurance of Lacock Workhouse & he informed me it was £500 –
I am Dear Sir
Yr Obliged Sert
