Dr Sir

I have received the ferns, <1> for which I am much obliged. Independently of their utility as objects for the engraving process, <2> they will form a very valuable addition to my Herbarium –

I have likewise received the photograph of the Dragontrees <3> at Teneriffe executed upon glass – As I am leaving home for 2 or 3 weeks I shall not be able to make engravings of these until my return, when I will attempt them

I remain Yours very truly
H. F. Talbot
