Sir /
I have ordered Steel to be specially prepared for your purpose, & cannot have it before 8 or 10 days yet.
With regard to the sample impressions – the paper I ordered from London from Messrs Dickinsons, only reached me 2 days ago, when I was absent on business, but now, I shall set to work & let you see how they look, & give an idea of cost. Messrs Dickinsons paper is so much run after, that we have to wait often for weeks before we can get the proper Sizes and thickness. I trust however that you have been put to no inconvenience by the delay, wch has been unavoidable
I am Sir Yours respectfully
William Banks
