Salisbury
Novr 25th 1835.

Sir,

It having been agreed upon by the Magistrates that it was expedient to appoint four Inspectors of Weights & Measures for the County, I beg to offer myself as Candidate for the Salisbury Division. As the principal part of this Duty consists in adjusting the Weights & Measures by a Mechanical process, to this I feel myself fully competent as it is a Branch of the Business to which I have been brought up. Should you consider me qualified for the Appointment I beg leave most humbly to solicit your vote & Interest, at the next General Quarter Sessions to be held at Devizes,

I have the Honor to be Sir, Your most obedt Servt
Wm Beach
